Federal Permit Course

WRNC is offering a new course for wildlife rehabilitators.  The course is designed for rehabilitators who wish to obtain their federal permit. The sessions are comprehensive, covering all aspects of avian care.  The course is held for the first time at the symposium in the second floor conference room on Friday afternoon from 2-6 and continuing on Saturday morning from 8-12.

Provide knowledge of the laws covering the rehabilitation of migratory birds,
Instill appreciation for Standards for care and the wildlife rehabilitation code of ethics,

Make recommendations and give information regarding the care of birds in wildlife rehabilitation,
Assist those who wish to become Federally Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitators,
Provide a Network of opportunities to receive experience required for a Federal Permit,
Provide sources of information regarding rehabilitation of specific birds.
