Grants

Did you know that WRNC offers multiple grants to help wildlife rehabilitators across North Carolina? Check out the grants that we have to offer!

Pre-Release Enclosure Grant

WRNC offers a pre-release enclosure grant to its members. If you need assistance building your next rehabilitation enclosure and you’re a member of WRNC, check out this grant!

Chimney Swift Tower Grant

Chimney Swifts, migratory birds that are in decline due to the loss of habitat. Fortunately, Chimney Swifts are well adapted to man-made structures, so it is possible to create a nesting habitat specifically for them. If you are a member of an environmentally active group, an individual environment enthusiast, a WRNC member or nonmember, you may want to construct and maintain a Chimney Swift tower in your area to encourage Chimney Swifts.

Emergency and Disaster Relief Grant

During October 2005, the Wildlife Rehabilitators of North Carolina, Emergency Disaster Fund Committee established the WRNC Emergency Disaster Fund program to respond to natural disasters in our state that impede an individual wildlife rehabilitator’s or a wildlife rehabilitation organization’s mission to conserve, rehabilitate, and release indigenous North Carolina wildlife.
